Blemish Cleansing Moisturiser 75g

Add to milk pail

Ban the Bleach!
Blemishes are  usually around for a short time, but the skin on our face is forever. So we need to take care of it. No need to break out the chemicals. Let potent natural extracts do the work instead.

Blemishes have a number of causes.

MooGoo's Blemish Cleansing Moisturiser takes a new approach. It is a cleansing cream that also works as a leave on moisturiser.  This keeps skin healthy and young looking by using a high quality natural cream packed full of anti-oxidants, rather than chemicals. Other parts of the formulation help prevent excess oils on the skin becoming rancid which can be a cause of Acne as well as cleanse the skin.

We suggest applying the Blemish Cleansing Moisturiser each morning and night after washing and while the skin is still slightly moist. Everyone’s skin is different, but of our customer Guinea Pig testers, 13 out of 15 reported real results after around a week.

Ingredient Description
Aqua (H2O's Fancy Name) When we were told that we have to call our purified water “Aqua” we thought they were kidding, but we can’t fight bureaucracy. We aren’t trying to be fancy, but we do need to call our water “Aqua” sometimes. If we used only oils and actives, the cream would feel hot on the skin as the oils coat the skin and it becomes an occlusive. By making this cream with water, the cream penetrates the skin better which is more moisturising, soothing and cooling
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera) We use a concentrated extract of Aloe to maximise the benefits within a small amount of cream that is applied.
Cetearyl Alcohol (Plant Based Emulsifying Wax) Cetearyl alcohol is a Plant-Based Emulsifying Wax emulsified, stabilised and produced from the reduction of plant oils and natural waxes. It’s used for combining oil and water.
Squalane (Olive) Olive squalane is produced from olives. Squalane enhances skin elasticity and moisture retention.  Olive squalane's composition is very similar to human sebum (oil) and can penetrate our skin very quickly to help our skin to fight dryness. Squalane is not to be confused with squalene, which is a form of shark liver oil and tends to quickly oxidize when exposed to the air.
Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil . Olive oil is a great addition to natural and edible skincare.
Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Seed Oil Apricot Seed Oil is a finely textured oil, easily absorbed by the skin without leaving it feeling oily or greasy. It is particularly helpful for dehydrated, delicate, mature and sensitive skin.
Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil Grape Seed Oil is a lightly textured oil, excellent for moisturising the skin. It is very high in antioxidants and contains high amounts of vitamin E, vitamin C, Beta-Carotene, and vitamin D.
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil Jojoba Oil is extracted from the Jojoba seed. It is extremely moisturising, light and sinks into the skin easily. Jojoba Oil is actually a liquid wax, whilst still being very non comedogenic (it does not clog the pores).
Glycerin (Sugar Alcohol) Glycerin is used as a humecant (attracts water) in many moisturisers. We generally do not use Glycerin but needed it in this cream to help disolve the high amount of botanical extracts.
Camellia Sinensis (ECGC Green Tea) Leaf Extract Camellia Sinensis is a herbal derivative of green tea leaves. It has anti-ageing and antioxidant benefits that can help delay signs of skin aging, sun damage, age spots, fine lines and wrinkles.
Dimethyl Sulfone (MSM Organic Sulphur) MSM is an Organic Sulphur compound which is present in every cell of the body. MSM has been proven to be a great skin softener.
Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil Sunflower Oil is rich in vitamins A, D, and especially vitamin E - as well as essential fatty acids. Sunflower oil has a light texture making it very comfortable on the skin.
Polysorbate 60 (Food Grade Emulsifier) A lot of our customers are small. So small in fact that they have sometimes mistaken the creams their mums or dad’s put on the nappy change table for food. So we always choose the most edible ingredients we can. Polysorbates are used in a lot of foods like Mayonnaise, Ice-cream etc to hold the cream and water together. We use them to help with the same thing.
Caprylic Capric Triglyceride (Fractioned Coconut Oil) Fractionated Coconut Oil is a blend of coconut oil and glycerine. It’s considered an excellent emollient and skin-replenishing ingredient as well as being a great natural stabiliser.
Hydrolysed Milk Protein (For Skin Elasticity) We use a specialised Milk Proteiin fraction that controls bacteria.
Allantoin A soothing and softening ingredient, Allantoin is thought to help maintain healthy skin by encouraging the removal of dead skin cells and stimulate the growth of healthy skin tissue.
Whey Protein Whey Protein is a mixture of proteins isolated from whey. We use an ingredient that combines some fatty acids with a type of whey protein which acts to control various flora on the skin. This is a natural and health way of helping blemish prone skin.
Piroctone Olamine (Olamine Salt) Piroctone Olamine is an organic compound. It is a non-irritating anti-yeast ingredient which helps keep the cream free from bacteria and mould.
Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate (Oil-Soluble Vitamin C) Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate is an oil-soluble derivative of Vitamin C. It’s a powerful antioxidant that slows the rate of free-radical damage (free radicals are unstable molecules that damage collagen and cause skin dryness, fine lines and wrinkles. This form of Vitamin C is absorbed by the skin very easily and is well tolerated by even the most sensitive skin types.
Panthenol (Vitamin B5) Panthenol is a form of Vitamin B5 derived from plants. It works as a humectant by attracting water into the skin cells, retaining moisture deep within the skins tissues and helping to restore the skins moisturising properties.
Polygonum Cuspidatum (Japanese Knotweed – Resveratrol) We use Resveratrol extracted from Japanese Knotweed. We are limited in what we can say but we would recommend searching "topical Resveratrol" to see why we use it.
Glyceryl Caprylate (Emollient) Glyceryl Caprylate is an emollient, which has an excellent efficacy against bacteria and yeast and as such makes a great natural preservative for skin care.
Vanilla Plantifolia (Vanilla) Fruit Extract Vanilla extract is used to neautralize the scent of the herbal extracts we are using.
Pyrus Malus (Apple) Extract
Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E)

We use the more expensive, natural Vitamin E in our creams, not synthetic. Synthetic Vitamin E is clear and colourless. Natural Vitamin E is brown and has a scent and so discolours our creams a little. However it is much more bioavailable for the skin.

Humulus Lupulus (Hops) Extract Skin Care needs to stay pure from yeast and mould. That is why ingredients like Parabens etc are used by a lot of companies. These work great at achieving their aim, but a lot of our “customers”prefer products without parabens.  We worked for over a year to develop a preservation system based on Hops Extract. All our creams have now been checked for preservative efficacy using the British Pharmacopeia test. We are very proud that we are probably one of the first companies to develop this natural and edible anti-bacterial system into our creams.

Hi,

This is a compliment rather than an enquiry...just want to say thank-you for the quality and price of your product that does what it says. I've never given feedback about a product before which says a lot. I have tried countless celebrity endorsed products as well as expensive salon exclusive brands and have probably spent over $50,000 over the years fighting my acne from 12-30yrs! Moogoo at its affordable price, has reduced my acne by and I started using it about so I'm sure improvements will continue. I use the blemish cleansing cream, the oil cleanser and rose-hip oil, as well as the tinted lip-balm. Simple beauty makes me feel so free!

Leah – WA, Australia

I can honestly say the blemish cleansing cream is THE BEST product I've used. It really helps keep my face clear and doesn't make my look greasy by lunch time like so many other creams on the market.

Thanks again

Hi MooGoo

Just about to fly overseas for a couple of weeks so I wanted to let you know  how I was going with the cleansing cream.

I've been using it for a week and a half, and I am really enjoying using it  instead of my benzoyl peroxide treatment. It feels better on the skin, more  moisturising but it doesn't cause my skin to get oily which is fantastic!

I've actually had great results with my existing spots, the bumps have  flattened out and the redness has died down a lot.. No new spots have come up,  which is great considering the amount of stress I've been under lately!

My existing spots haven't gone completely but its only been just over week and  I know from experience that when I use a new product on them I need to wait at  least a month before I see the full effects.   I've taken some  'before' shots and I"ll sent in some 'after' shots of my spotty areas when  I get back from my trip - but so far so good!

Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to test your cream!

Lauren

Hi MooGoo

I think the cream works. I mainly focused on my jaw line. I do have some scaring, but the new acne and redness seems to have gone! I really hope you are able to produce it as I will be buying it!

Thank you again
Emily

Hi MooGoo

Sorry for the late email - I have been meaning to touch base and kept forgetting about it. I do sincerely apologize. I am really enjoying using the cream. I have been very pleasantly surprised on how good it is. My initial thought was that it would probably too oily for my skin, but it has been great. It is not oily at all and my skin has really been liking it. I have had a few blemishes come up and I believe the cream has helped them quite quickly.

Thank you once again for selecting me for the trial. Once I have finished all of the sample I will touch base again and let you know how it has gone.

Kindest regards,
Nicole
