Pets need sun protection too. This natural, Zinc-free Sun Cream is perfect for those sun loving pets as we use edible oils along with Titanium Dioxide to provide sun protection as an alternative to Zinc, which is toxic for pets when consumed in large quantities. Animals that have light coloured noses, thin or missing fur, or that just like to sunbake upside down exposing their bellies, are most in need of sun protection because pets can get sunburnt just like us.
Apply to the nose, ear tips, skin surrounding the lips, and any area where skin is exposed to the sun, particularly pink skinned areas. Re-apply after swimming.

Can my dog get sunburnt?

Yes, even when fur and pigmented skin act as a natural barrier to sunlight and the harmful effects of UV radiation. White dogs with pink skin and some breeds with naturally thin coats are more at risk. Mainly the nose, underbelly and inside of the legs and ears though can be affected by sun damage on any pet. White cats have a higher incidence of developing dangerous tumours (squamous cell carcinomas) as a result of excessive exposure to UV light and it is important these cats are kept mainly indoors.

Is this Sun Cream broad-spectrum?

Yes, we use Titanium Dioxide which is considered broad-spectrum.

Purified Water, Titanium Dioxide, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Coco-Caprylate (coconut based cleanser) Triglyceride (Fractionated Coconut oil) Glyceryl Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol (Plant Emulsifier), Piroctone Olamine, Naringin (Bittering Agent from Orange Peel), Dicaprylyl Carbonate (Emollient Ingredient), Aluminium Stearate (Emulsifier), Hop Extract

Please be aware that the ingredients we use in our formulas may be updated occasionally and therefore vary from time to time. Please refer to the ingredient list on the product packaging for the most up-to-date and relevant list of ingredients.
